Sorry—if you're not here to talk about woodcutting
or axes, I've got nothing to say.
I tell myself I'm not a shallow person...but deep
down, I have to admit looks matter.
And the trees around here are just flat-out prettier
than anywhere else in Reveria!
Hey, you're a fellow Woodcutter, right? I've been
hearing good things about your work.
Nice to finally meet you. I'm Orlando. I'm uh...kind
of obsessed with being a Woodcutter.
To be honest, it's taken a bit of a toll on my social
Life. I know more trees than people around here.
So...what's your favorite kind of tree? Mine's
definitely Palm.
You probably guessed that, since I live here in
Port Puerto and all.
I told you I was obsessed with my work, didn't I?
So you've been a Woodcutter for a little while now,
right? Maybe you can relate...
Do you ever just get so lost in your work that you
completely lose track of time?
And then you walk home in a daze at the end of the
day without having spoken a word to anyone?
It's kinda becoming a pattern...and I'm not sure it's
entirely healthy.
Maybe I should try out another Life for a while. But
then I wouldn't get as many logs from each tree...
I suppose if I tried out a new Life for a while, I'd
still be able to harvest Palm Trees.
But...I wouldn't get as many logs from each tree.
Which means I'd need to cut down MORE trees.
I'm not sure that would exactly solve my problem...
Oh, you made Adept? Congrats. That's an
important step!
Here's a little gift to celebrate. It's used, but it's
still plenty sharp.
You know I tried crafting an axe once? It went OK.
Let's just say I'm better at using axes than I am at
crafting them.
I think I'm probably just a shy person at heart. That's
why I chose the Woodcutter Life.
I can spend a whole day in the woods and be
perfectly content. Or at least I used to be content.
Lately I've been wishing I had someone to go home
to at the end of the day...
Hey, I heard you made Expert. That's great!
Not too much new here, I'm afraid.
But you know what? I've been thinking I should
start traveling. Branch out a little bit!
So any chance you'd be up for having me tag along
the next time you go adventuring?
Because, I mean...Palm Trees are great, but I bet
there are so many other types I'm missing out on.
I wish I was better at small talk! Whenever I see, uh,
a certain someone, I clam right up.
I don't get it. I'm good with trees! Why can't I relate
to people in the same way?
There's one particularly cute...person...I wish I could
talk to. But I'm the one who gets cut down!

Well, I've got a good one for you.
Have you heard of the Sacred Wind Tree? It grows
in the Aridian Desert near Al Maajik.
You'll only be able to harvest the tree if the tree
itself deems you worthy.
You've got a good shot at it! What are you waiting
for? Unless...you've already chopped it down!
You just keep moving up the ranks, don't you?
You'll be giving me lessons before long!
Wait a minute...that could actually happen. I better
get back to work!

Um, did I say that out loud? Well...who cares? It's
true. You're the best Woodcutter I know.
Listen, there's a legendary tree up on Terra Nimbus
that older Woodcutters have spoken of.
Maybe now that you're a Hero, you could take a
whack at it. Maybe I could even come with you.
Sometimes I look at you and think I'll never amount
to anything as a Woodcutter.
But then I think...forget that! I can still perform some
truly heroic feats!

And I've got some good news of my own. Remember
that "special person" I was talking about?
Well, we're getting together this week for a walk
and maybe a little snack.
Yep, I've finally conquered my crippling shyness!
And I owe a lot of that to you.
Guess what? My new friend's favorite type of tree
is also Palm!
Isn't that crazy? It's like we're meant for each other!
It seems like we're going in different directions.
You're aiming even higher than Legend...
and I'm working more on socializing than I am
on woodcutting.
Don't worry—I'm not about to retire or anything.
I've just shifted my focus from "axe" to "relax"!
The problem with making friends in Port Puerto is
that now I don't really want to leave.
But that means I won't be able to discover all the
wild, new varieties of trees growing around Reveria!
I guess I'll just have to take a...what's it called...
vacation? What a strange concept.
