DuglasGot a tip for ya—somethin' every Miner oughta know. Hit an ore vein in just the right spot, and you can break apart even the hardest rock. How do you know you've hit the right spot? You'll hear a louder clang than normal, like...CLANG! Might be kinda tough to do at first, but a rock-solid Miner like you can pull it off!

DuglasEvery rock has a weak point you can exploit. Just listen out for that loud clang sound... *CLANG* Huh. I sorta sounded like ol' Vulcan there.

DuglasCongratulations! You're an Apprentice Miner! Compared to any other sort of Life out there, bein' a Miner will net you the most gems and ore. You'll be makin' duns o' tosh...er...tons o' Dosh. I recommend keepin' it as yer go-to Life. Ya get to hit stuff AND make some coin. Minin' sets ya up for success!

I ain't gonna ask ya ta hunt a dragon! Legend says it's an ore that comes from a dragon. When a dragon gets injured, the ore builds up over the wound. After it's done healing, it falls off. That's why it's called a Dragon Scab. Still, it's just a myth. Nothing to do with dragons...probably. But trust me...this stuff is tough. I mean...TOUGH. Normal mining ain't gonna cut it. Better break out the Special Skills!

DuglasDragon Scab is only a name. It ain't really a dragon's scab. Now that I think about it, that stuff's gotta have a real, actual name, right? Hmm. I think the one who named it was Moley! Er, no, no! That ain't his name... Moleson! Yeah, that's it!

DuglasNow that you're an Expert, I'll let ya in on some juicy info. Rare gems don't just hop into your lap. It takes skill and a bit of luck. Basically, the higher your Luck, the more rare gems you'll find when you mine. I did some digging around and found that mining is 90% skill and 10% luck. Or was it the other way around? Er...anyway...raise that luck, and swing that pickaxe!
