The Fledgling Tailor Sew Some Devotion!

Salutations!

You wouldn't happen to be Tailors, now, would you? We can always sense one of our own!

And local Tailors, by the look of it. Castele is certainly a charming place to visit!

Such a lovely, mild climate—perfect for raising sheep. And that means fine, fluffy Sheep Fleece!

You see, in my native land, we grow cotton. Sheep Fleece is decidedly hard to come by.

Oh, how rude of me! I haven't introduced myself yet! Where ARE my manners?

Quite the detective, aren't you!

Flattery like that goes a long way! Of course I'll help you. Any way I can.

Wait a tick... Would you two happen to be students of Madam Purl?

As a matter of fact, I do.

And I also know that she's a fantastic Tailor. Why don't you ask her to make the Fluffy Ribbon?

Sounds like you're in quite the jam.

How about this: if you're able to rustle up some Sheep Fleece, I'll make it for you!

A friend of Purl's is a friend of mine. Plus, there's no "failure" in "Tailor"! Ha!

Now go get me some Sheep Fleece!

Oh, goody! You found some Sheep Fleece. Yes, this should do nicely.

It won't take me long at all to whip up some Fluffy Ribbon for you.

But I work even faster if there's music! Why don't you sing that song Madam Purl loves so much?

It's got the perfect beat to sew to! When you finish singing, your Fluffy Ribbon will be ready.

Aaaaaaand—I'm finished! TA-DA!

We're absolutely surrounded by sheep! You should ask one of them for a smidgen of fleece.

I'm sending good-luck vibes your way!

I'm so happy everything went off without a hitch!

Chic

Thanks for stopping by, but the owner of this place isn't here right now. She runs a tailoring workshop over in Castele.

Sometimes when I sew, I like to close my eyes and visualize the client for whom I'm making the item... The thought of that smiling face gives me the extra motivation I need to stitch like a boss!

Something about your face really rings a bell... I've got it! You're that Tailor I met in Castele. Nice to see you here in Port Puerto, my friend. I presume you're on a quest to improve your tailoring skills. The good news is, I can help! Here—take this. It's a rather rare material by the name of Cashmere. Of course, it's not rare everywhere. Al Maajik has a plethora of this soft, fine wool. Enjoy it, my friend. A gift from one pupil of Madam Purl's to another!

Still just a Fledgling, eh? You've got to put your heart and soul into your tailoring career, my friend! Up next, Apprentice rank! You can do it!

Nice to see you again, Apprentice Tailor! It's not that I don't know your real name. It's just that I like calling you by your rank! And you remember my name, of course? How could you possibly forget? It's Chic! A word to the wise about high-quality items... you know, the really good stuff? You can sell those for mucho Dosh at the shops! The high-quality armor pieces are much stronger AND have higher defense. It's not terribly easy, but a true Tailor dedicates

Ah! You're here to learn about Chic's Unforgettable Rules for an Inspirational Tailoring Life, are you not? Excellent, excellent. Rule one! Stay focused. Don't get distracted by the glitzy Lifestyle of a Tailor. Rule two! Always use the best materials you can get your hands on. Rule three! Spend time each day improving your performance at the workbench. No pain, no gain! Rule four! Keep your tools in good working condition. A rusty needle is a useless needle! Rule five! Always be there for another Tailor. We're like family, you know! All right, now that I've told you all of my secrets to success, maybe you can tell me something... Maybe...maybe you can tell me all about the fashion scene in Castele? The movers and shakers? But there's no one SPECIFIC person I'm asking about. Not at all. Nope.

Don't go spreading this around, but I happen to have a soft spot in my heart for soft toys. Whew! It's nice to finally share that with someone! You're awfully easy to talk to, [Player]. Anyway, I've heard there's a soft-toy expert in Al Maajik. A real cuddly-critter artisan. What I wouldn't give to meet a person like that! I bet we'd have a lot in common...

Now that I think about it, a soft, cuddly toy would probably be a perfect gift for someone... Umm...but no one specific! Just...uh...someone in general. Forget I said anything!

An Expert already, eh? You Castelian Tailors certainly are a talented lot. Actually, I wouldn't mind accompanying you on one of your material-gathering trips sometime. Two Tailors can gather more material than one, am I right?

To be honest, I wouldn't mind visiting Castele again. As soon as possible, really! I mean...it's not like I'm DESPERATE to see anyone there. Nope. Not at all.

Welcome to the Master rank, friend. When I first reached this rank, I started my own fashion label! I was inspired by the clothing designs of Madam Purl's son and his wife. Yes, Taylor's parents are quite famous in the fashion world. It's just too bad they have to work abroad. I know Taylor must miss them desperately!

Did Zippy happen to mention to you that I ran into her the other day? Quite a fortuitous meeting! She gave me this über-stylish hat as a gift. Her sense of fashion is nearly impeccable! Yes, she gave me quite a trendsetting item... but I also have a soft spot for silly fashion. You know, hats that look like a shark's head— things like that. Silly but still totally cool!

Look at what we have here—a Hero-ranked Tailor! Not too shabby, my friend. You must be aching to try your hand at a new challenge, am I right? The Sewing Superstar challenge is no mean feat. You have to raise your Sewing skill to level 15! Even I haven't managed to do that yet...

Raising your Sewing skill level isn't exactly easy. If it was, everyone would be doing it!

Congratulations! This Legend rank of yours is nothing to sneeze at. You've become quite the inspiration to me, you know. You seem to have reignited in me my passion for tailoring. Not just the sewing, but the Lifestyle too!

You and I have spoken before of my feelings for the fair Zippy, have we not? Oh! Perhaps I never mentioned her name directly, but she's often on my mind. I should probably speak to her about that. I wonder if I'm often on her mind as well...

I heard a rumor that you're aiming for Creator rank. You've got some real get-up-and-go! It's a worthy goal, of course, but please don't forget about the friends who helped get you there. Zippy and Taylor value your friendship so much— as do I. And to prove it, here's a gift. Enjoy!

The Tailors around here really look up to you, you know. As do I!

You managed to reach the Creator rank, eh? Color me shocked! Not that you're not a fantastic Tailor. I just didn't know anyone really COULD reach that rank! And by the way, thanks for playing Cupid with me and Zippy. I don't know what you said to her, but she seems to think I'm perfect for her. I feel the same way!

My relationship with Zippy is progressing quite nicely. Although... sometimes I think I like her more than she likes me. *sigh* Let's hope that's not true!
