Tale of Lunares: Chapter Five

*My apologies. How is this?*

*I shall lower my voice so that it may be soft upon the eardrums of the hoomins.*

*My new friends, the hour of reckoning is at hand.*

*When the dark stones fall and Lunares clouds over, Reveria must join four hands together again.*

*A promise was made to the Goddess Celestia. A promise that must be honored.*

*Come together, children of hoomins...*

*Children of the forest...*

*Child of Lunares...*

*Thou art the daughter of the Goddess Celestia. Is that not so, child of Lunares?*

*Yes, child of Lunares?*

*Hoo hoo ha! An amusing question, my child. Might I answer it with a question as well?*

*What would make you ask such a thing?*

*Then their wishes could be used to help save Reveria as well?*

*Well, you are speaking of two different things, child of Lunares.*

*Most creatures of nature do not foster their own wishes. This allows the Doomstone to affect them.*

*However, we spirits are a different matter. We have evolved past this base level, similar to hoomins.*

*But we have learned to nurture our own wishes on a path that is different from hoomins.*

*It was thine own mother who encouraged us to find our own way while still coexisting with hoomins.*

*Long ago indeed. And she asked me, just as you have asked now...*

*about the wishes of all of nature's creatures.*

*She showed us how hoomins lived.*

*So that we may reach a greater understanding of all beings who inhabit Reveria.*

*Because of this, our children have the power to bridge the gap between the human and spirit world.*

*Indeed, thou art an heir to one of our hoomin children who inhabit the world beyond the forest.*

*I sense the presence of a dear friend who comes to us after too long of an absence...*

*Your child possesses the same fires of youth that you had at that age, Lady Ophelia.*

*I remember it like it was a decade ago.*

*What is a Life, if not the time when one finds room for laughter?*

*Oh my. You have been busy, hoomin.*

*Do you always speak like this?*

*The poofy-haired hoomin speaks accurately.*

*It is interesting how you speak of myth and legend as if they were...untrue.*

*The Goddess Ship is from an ancient time for you. But for me it was mere centuries ago.*

*Such lengths of time are but drops in a greater ocean for us.*

*We see eons go. We see lives pass. We see wishes live and die. And yet, the Spirit Tree watches all.*

*My children. It is time that you ascended the Spirit Tree. There you will find what you seek.*

*I shall now bequeath unto thee that which the Life Goddess Celestia granted unto me.*

*I have long watched over it, and now I entrust its care to thee.*

Tale of Lunares: Final Chapter

*zzzz* *snort* *Oh! Yuelia... Hello, my dear.*

*It's fine, dear child. I sense that you leave with a heavy heart. You have fallen for Reveria, correct?*

*Go, child. And know that thou art not alone.*

*For thou hast good friends...*

*And a loving sister...*

*Well...you have good friends.*

*It would seem the Furlin wishes to accompany thee. Yet that is not possible...*

*The Furlin will wait here for thine return, Noelia.*

*Off thou goest, then. Up the Spirit Tree.*

*Go forth with the forest's blessing. Thou shall endure, my children. You have endured, my children.*

Flutter 030 In Mother's Footsteps

*I bid you welcome, child of Lunares. And to you, child of Reveria.*

*Ah, my apologies, young Yuelia. It would indeed be a shame to let such a lovely name go unsaid.*

*Of course...dear Celestia...*

*Young Yuelia, wouldst thou do me the favor of showing me thy true form?*

*Ah, yes. There truly is so much of Celestia in thee.*

*Seeing you takes me back to when I was but a cub.*

*Indeed, I was. Dear Celestia came to this world when I was still very young.*

*My wish was among the many wishes she granted with her special gift.*

*Hoo hoo har! Yes, my little one, indeed I did.*

*I wished for a friend to play with.*

*Hoo hoo! It is rather embarrassing to say now, I must admit.*

*But it truly was my deepest wish. And your mother was more than happy enough to grant it.*

*Dear Celestia often visited me, dawn till dusk. We did more than play. She taught me many things.*

*She taught me about Reveria, nature, and feelings. She also taught me how to speak like humans.*

*Indeed. Of course, she also asked many questions. I told her of the things I knew in return.*

*She was especially curious about the forest and its inhabitants, and what we ate.*

*I may have grossed her out a few times. But I sense her same curiosity in thee, young Yuelia.*

*Our time together was wonderful. It was something I shall never forget.*

*As she did so much for me, I am glad to see the day when I can fulfill my promise to her.*

*May the heavens bless your journey, young Yuelia. For I know that your mother looks upon you kindly.*

*You are welcome to visit me anytime.*

*This world that dear Celestia loved so much shall prove to be a good home for all of us.* *As long as we prove to be the kind and generous protectors that are in all of our natures.*

*I would like that very much.*

*Here, [Player]. Please take this with you.*

*The whole of the Elderwood is with you.*

Flutter 045 The Living Forest

*Good to see thee, [Player]. I am sensing a hole in your party's presence...*

*Flattery will get you everywhere, young one.*

*I sense that you are not a child of Reveria.*

*The smell is different than that of a Reverian child.*

*Ha. Ha. Ha. No, my child, it is just that you have a different smell... You smell like...like tradition.*

*Art thou perchance a child of Origin Island?*

*Ah yes. Dear Celestia would often talk about it.*

*She many times spoke of the land where she had lived before coming to Reveria.*

*However, I must say I am surprised. It is almost as if I am meeting a character from a story.*

*It happens but once every few centuries... But why would a child of Origin Island venture to this world?

*I see, I see. Indeed, this is a rite of passage that every young one must take.*

*Ha. Ha. Ha. I said "young one." But yes, even I. But that is a story for another time.*

*On the contrary. It is necessary for those of the adventurous heart to know what is in the world...*

*Traveling Reveria will inform your wishes going forward...the wishes that shall shape your Life.*

*That is only natural, young Grace. You are simply sad with homesickness.*

*You'll be fine. Loneliness can't hurt you.*

*Thou art free to treat this forest as a second home if it would please thee. Come and visit anytime.*

Danuta

*Good to see you, child. Please, be at ease here.*

*Good to see you, child. Please, be at ease here.*

*Thanks to the power of the Spirit Tree, dear Celestia's ship should be well preserved.*

*Dost thou feel the pulse surging through the Spirit Tree? I believe it is welcoming thee.*

*The Spirit Tree tells me dear Celestia's vessel is fine. "Shipshape" as you humans might say.*

*The time to depart is nigh, child. All our fates rest with thee, young [Player].*

*Thanks to thee, Reveria could greet a new dawn. I shall never forget that first joyous ray of light.*

*It is good to see Lunares shining again. Without its precious glow, the night would be a fearsome thing.*

*Welcome back, young [Player]. I trust thou art in good spirits?*

*Welcome back, young [Player]. I trust thou art in good spirits?*

*Dear Celestia spoke of Origin Island, but I did not believe it still existed.*

*Dear Celestia spoke of Origin Island, but I did not believe it still existed.*

*Young Pino and the others have been telling me of all the fun they have been having on Origin Island.*

*Perhaps I too should go and see the world beyond this forest once again. Hoo ha ha!*

Origin Island: Chapter One

*I must remain silent in this instance.*

Flutter 052 The Elderwood Goddess Statue

*Would someone like to fill me in here? Or should I just go on guessing in my omniscient way?*

*I'll have you know that I am simply big boned for a Great Spirit. I can move just fine.*

*Oh my...that's a Lunares Coin. I haven't seen one of those since, well...since before Dosh was invented.*

*Indeed. They were used long before Dosh came into the world. I had no idea any actually remained.*

*It's hard to think of a time before Dosh, but in the past, many things were considered as currency...*

*Stones were used as currency. Flowers...even paper. Dosh is really only a colored metal.*

*Lunares Coins were presented before Goddess Statues at times when people made wishes.*

*If you do so, it is said the Goddess shall bequeath you something you desire.*

*I'm surprised Fred tried to swindle a little Leafe.*

*Oh, yes. How could I not know Fred?*

*He is one of a kind indeed. He said I would forget how to walk if I stayed sitting all the time.*

*Yes, but he is a seasoned traveler. I simply told him that if he didn't stop moving, he'd forget how to sit.*

*Although I didn't expect he would still be alive. I wonder where he has been all these years...*

*I am sure thou shalt encounter him again soon. He is the type who turns up everywhere.*

*As are the two of you.*
