The Fledgling Angler Ol' Man Angler

You want to know who came to this land looking for Applefish? Well, that'd be me.

The taste of Applefish is unparalleled! Unrivaled! It's no wonder that they fly off the shelves!

I only wish I could have had some before I had to head back home...

Hmm? A pair of Anglers, I see. What can old Seabury do for you?

Why, yes. That was me.

No need to apologize, young man. That fish is quite a rarity.

I last had Applefish years ago. Grilled to perfection, seasoned beautifully...unforgettable.

Neither of you should take any blame. That fish is so delicious, it sells out instantly.

It's my fault, if anything. Bad luck. Maybe next time, if I ever make it back to Castele.

I've come all the way from Port Puerto.

Ha! A Legendary Master? Someone's been telling whoppers. Still, Port Puerto is a great fishing town.

But one thing Port Puerto doesn't have... is Applefish.

And prepared Castele style, grilled and served with herb butter on top...? It's heavenly. I hoped I might have it one last time. But short of a miracle, it looks like I'm out of luck.

Do my eyes deceive me? Is that an Applefish?

You went out and caught a nice one. You've made this old man happy, Angler.

You deserve a handsome reward.

Did I hear your friend say you're [Name 2]? Well, I won't forget that name anytime soon.

Come see me in Port Puerto once you're a bit further along as an Angler, all right?

My name is Seabury. You can find me at—

Hah! What a surprise! Applefish must be biting today!

Whooo-ee! Two Applefish in one day... I can't wait to tell the Anglers' Association.

They'll be glad to hear the Fisherman Sage is taking two bright students up the ranks.

He's your grandpa? Well, glad to meet you. Your grandfather is an old fishing buddy.

From way back too. He and I founded Monthly Catch. Ever heard of it?

Hah! Sorry—thought you knew. I am Seabury, the head of the Anglers' Association.

Look me up anytime you're in Port Puerto, Isaac. Glad to show you around.

It would be my honor.

I guess I'll never taste Applefish again. I'll have to savor my memories... Mmm. Grilled is so good.

Grilled Applefish...with herb butter... What I wouldn't do for that!

You caught an Applefish but don't have it anymore? What a shame!

Thanks for the Applefish. I was thinking of having it grilled, but maybe I'll have it with stewed tomatoes.

Seabury

Welcome, welcome! I am Seabury, the head of the Anglers' Association.

I remember you! You're that young Angler whom I met in Castele! You caught that fish for me! I'm so glad I ran into you again. I've been meaning to give you this.

You need to be at least an Apprentice Angler to join the Anglers' Association. Those are the rules.

*sniff* *sniff* I smell an Apprentice Angler! You should see Marina. She'll have something for you. The Life of an Angler has a few perks. If you fish as an Angler, the fishing spots don't dry up as fast. You can, of course, still fish if you switch to another Life, but you can't count on as big a catch.

Ah... I could go for some Puffer Fish Sashimi...

Some Grilled Eel would be nice about now.

You've improved much! I can smell it! It's about time you tested your skill against the fish in Port Puerto! You see, there are Swordfish off the shores of Tortuga Archipelago! If you want to find one, head to the whirlpool in the center of the archipelago.

You can't talk about big fish around Port Puerto without mentioning the Swordfish.

Members of the Anglers' Association can be found in other lands too. If you happen to be in Al Maajik, be sure to pop into The Spice Rack. We have an Angler working there.

The Spice Rack in Al Maajik is the favorite hangout of a very interesting Angler. Want to know more about her? See for yourself.

*sniff* *sniff* Ooh! You've reached Master rank?! I've got some first-class info for a first-class Angler. You know the Subterranean Lake, over in the Aridian Desert? It's full of rare types of fish!

The Subterranean Lake in the Aridian Desert is full of strong monsters. Make sure you're ready!

*sniff* *sniff* You smell as fishy as a Hero Angler! I have a piece of info that should interest you! A new fish has appeared over in the whirlpool on Tortuga Archipelago. It glitters like gold, apparently! Think you can reel in the Golden Swordfish? If you haven't already, that is!

A fish that glitters like gold... I wonder if it will have a metallic taste.

*sniff* *sniff* This overpowering fishy aroma! It's so strong that I suspect you are, in fact, a

You are the pride of our association. Your fishy aroma fills our world. We owe you for that.

*sniff* *sniff* Something's changed! You smell different now... What is it? You're a smell above the others now, huh? My nostrils flare in awe. Take this!

*sniff* *sniff* Ooooh!

*sniff* *sniff* That smell is not a river fish! It's not a sea fish! Could it be...the smell of a Creator Angler?!

You smell more strongly of fish than the fish market on a summer's day! You truly are a Creator Angler!
