The Fledgling Cook Welcome to Alfredo's Bistro!

Sizzle doesn't know that dish. What's in a you know what?
Ohhhh, yes. That one. Sizzle remembers now. Sizzle is still licking the mess off his fur.
Sizzle is glad to meet you. Sizzle would like to see you be the best Cook you can be.
Sizzle is the sous chef here. That's a fancy way to say I'm the number-two chef.
Don't judge Alfredo too harshly. He's just overworked. He can't find a good assistant.
But you! I bet you'll be perfect! Yes, please bear with us. Sizzle will show you everything.
You'll need to make Carrot Soup for Alfredo if you want to be his assistant. Here's the recipe.
Our last assistant made a mess of it. Well, to tell the truth, so did the previous 50.
Sizzle is sure you'll make a nice soup, though. Now how about we begin?
You're always free to use the counter, but for now, you'll need to fetch Carrots for the soup.
Alfredo insists on the freshest vegetables. Right from the farm. Fresh as fresh gets!
No one grows fresher veggies than Giles down in South Castele. Go there for your Carrots.
Sizzle hopes he was clear enough. Good luck making Carrot Soup for Alfredo!
Sizzle hopes that Giles wasn't too grumpy. He's a lot like Alfredo. It's all about the work.
But it looks like he gave you some Carrots. Good man, at least for the tailless type.
Now Sizzle will show you the basics of Cooking so you can make that Carrot Soup.
Stand behind the counter, and then face it to start on the soup, all right?
Oh! Sizzle almost forgot to tell you! Be sure to equip your frying pan first, OK?
You finished the Carrot Soup. I bet it's excellent.
Breadworthy, Alfredo? Truly and honestly?
What a relief. When Alfredo says "breadworthy," [Name 1], he's speaking from his heart.
He loves your soup!
I can hardly believe it. Might we have our new assistant? Then on to the second test...
Customers are not allowed in Alfredo's kitchen! Please, take a seat. We'll serve the soup soon.
Leave now! Sizzle won't say it again!
No! Just who do you think you are?!
Sizzle is amazed. You just walk around with all these ingredients in your pockets?
But, Alfredo, you haven't even tasted it!
Hold the bun, stranger. Alfredo always says "breadworthy" when he loves a dish.
Uh...yes. You do that, stranger. Now may Sizzle ask you something?
Sizzle noticed a fancy decoration on your kitchen apron. What is that?
Please, tell Sizzle where you saw them! Alfredo can't have bees scaring off customers!
No, no, no... That can't be. We've never once set foot inside the castle.
D-disguise?!
Don't worry. Alfredo does this.
He faints when he gets too excited. Or when he has a great idea. Sometimes both.
Please, sir. Stay!
I think Alfredo had something in mind. What was he trying to say when he passed out? Om—?
Of course. That's one of his most impressive dishes! The Finest Fluffy Omelet!
I'm sure [Name 1] here knows it. Don't you? Check your recipes.
You must! Alfredo would thank you for saving the day.
You've got to. Sizzle will even help you track down the omelet ingredients.
We'll need to find Chicken Eggs, Cows' Milk, and...one more thing. What was it again?
Oh, yes! Vine-Ripened Tomatoes!
Let's find the Chicken Eggs and Cows' Milk first.
Yes, we need to speak to a cow. And a chicken. They'll help with our freshness quest.
You can find them on your map.
But let's tackle the chicken first. Good thing Sizzle speaks bawk-bawk. Let's go!
Er...bawkity bawkity, [Player]-cluck.
Um...could you repeat that? Er...bawkity cluckity bawk bawk?
Oh my! No, no! That's not what I meant— Uh...b'gawk b'gawkity gawk!
Wait, Sizzle didn't mean anyth— Eeeeep! Ow-ow-ow!
Sizzle made a mess of that—and lost a bit of his tail back there!
All right then. We need Cows' Milk next.
So we have to find a cow. Too bad my moo-moo is worse than my bawk-bawk...
This could get ugly. But let's get going!
What? That was easier than Sizzle thought.
Well then, only one more ingredient. Tomatoes! Let's try the vegetable stall near the bistro.
Sizzle and his friend are desperate to get some Vine-Ripened Tomatoes. Have any?
We're not going to eat them. Sizzle and his friend need Tomatoes for the restaurant.
What? You've got Tomatoes?
That's true!
They do. They really do. They crave Tomatoes that much!
But he's our last chance! Where did you see him?
Thank you. You're a Lifesaver!
Yes, we are. What an incredible nose you have. You could smell that about us?
Or was it my Cook's apron...?
Oh! How direct you are. You get to the point faster than a cow!
Of course! What would you like from us?
How awful for you. What sort of terrible restaurant would tease you like that?
Where?! There's only our—
Oh no. You mean OUR restaurant.
Alfredo's Bistro!
Yes, exactly. Sizzle is sorry to keep you waiting for food.
Sizzle takes no offense. It is our fault that your stomach is grumbling.
We hope to feed you soon.
Ah! We have all the ingredients. Let's go into the bistro and make that Finest Fluffy Omelet.
Sizzle will run inside. Come on in when you're ready, friend!
Sizzle likes the look of your omelet! But now serve it to our special customers!
The owner of Cocina Rica?!
What a time for you to shine! While Pedro visits? And the castle takes such interest?
Sizzle thinks you are a rising star! Sizzle thinks you deserve a nice break after all—
Alfredo is awake! So much has happened! Alfredo should hear all the news!
Sizzle can't believe our good luck! A Cook from the castle came to taste your recipes!
Alfredo, [Name 1] already cooked one!
We spoke to the usual cow and chicken, and you won't believe how we got Tomatoes!
That chef from Port Puerto was here!
Best of all, [Name 1] here cooked the omelet for our special guests—and Pedro loved it!
You need to make Carrot Soup for Alfredo to prove you can be a Cook.
Sizzle will explain how to use the kitchen counter to cook one more time.
Oh! Here's the most important thing. Be sure to equip a frying pan if you want to cook.
Looks like you want to be a Cook. Alfredo over there is the head chef. Talk to him, all right?
You'll need Carrots to make Carrot Soup. Get them from Giles at his farm in South Castele, OK?
If you've got all the ingredients, cook up that Finest Fluffy Omelet for our guests!
Serve the omelet to our special customers!
Hurrah! Alfredo is back on his feet again!
Alfredo! The soup! The soup! It's boiling over!
Whew! That was close. Good job! So, Alfredo...? You DID just let our friend here do a little work.
It seems you got your foot in the door! So here's everything a Cook needs to get started here!
Our friend seems like a natural, Alfredo. Can't you make an exception just this once?
It was? You had Sizzle completely fooled!
Congratulations—and welcome!
Yes, yes...I'm sure Allan and Pedro will be glad to meet you.
Sizzle thinks you'll help us make this restaurant even better. So welcome to Alfredo's Bistro!

Sizzle

Sizzle knows how to do this... Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside!
Let Sizzle introduce you, [Player]. This is Eggbert, our rooster friend. We prefer to use his eggs at the bistro whenever we can.
You're on Team Alfredo now—so get cooking, friend! Sizzle just has one warning for you, courtesy of Alfredo: no snacking while you're on the job!
Busy, busy—Sizzle is forever busy!
Sizzle thinks you'd better learn to make the basic bistro dishes first, like that Carrot Soup. In time, you'll learn even more recipes, but everyone has to start somewhere.
Sizzle likes to buy ingredients at the market, but if you want to save Dosh, you can find them wild too. Eggs, milk, fruit, veggies... If you know where to look, nature is like a Cook's pantry!

Sizzle heard—you're an Apprentice! Very excited for you, friend. Now Sizzle will be delighted to go out with you when you go exploring. Don't be shy about asking, especially if you're after ingredients that are dangerous to get!
If you're going out into the wild, don't forget you can invite Sizzle to come along. Sizzle is glad to help you find tasty ingredients for dishes—and keep you from being gobbled up!

Have you heard of Al Maajik? Sizzle has heard that a Cook there uses magic while cooking. Oh! And there are rare ingredients there—things that are hard to find anywhere else!
Sizzle thinks cooking with magical ingredients must be wonderful. If only Sizzle could meet the magic Cook from Al Maajik someday!

Alfredo is very tough on himself, but he always finds the nicest things to say about Sizzle's dishes. No matter how much Sizzle makes a mess of a dish, Alfredo always has a helpful word. Sizzle is a better Cook because of him, which is why Sizzle cooks for free!
Did you ever hear that Plushlings are made of fabric? It's true—we're soft inside and out. So Sizzle thinks you should NEVER do this, but Sizzle doesn't need to use oven mitts!

Sizzle is thrilled! You're a Master Cook! Congratulations. Sizzle knew you could do it. And now Sizzle has a gift for you.
Sizzle dreams of one day becoming a Master Cook. Until then, Sizzle will study under Alfredo!

Sizzle's friends have opened shops in all sorts of areas: Cacto Cove, the top of Mount Snowpeak... even in Terra Nimbus! Plushlings sell unusual things, so keep an eye out for them!

Sizzle is delighted to hear you're a Legendary Cook. Just think, Sizzle knew you from the very start. Maybe one day, if Sizzle ever has children of Sizzle's own, you can cook for them!
Sizzle supposes it might be a great mystery how Plushlings have children, since we're made of fabric. You see, when Plushlings get worn out and tattered, we can patch ourselves up. And sometimes, if there are enough scraps left over, Plushlings can make a little Plushling!

♪ Epic, epic, flip it, shake it. Flip and fry and braise and bake it. What is Sizzle singing? Just a little tune that Alfredo made up when you reached the rank of Legend. What? You're going for the Creator rank? Then Alfredo better get working on a new song! Until then, Sizzle has something for you.
♪ Flippity-flip, floopity-flop, trippity-splat! Frying pans will—? Uh. Er... Sizzle can't think of what rhymes with splat. Sizzle should stick to cooking and not making up clever songs like Alfredo. So that's that.
