The Fledgling Woodcutter 20
Hey! Excuse me?
Wow, you really did hear me! And you can SEE
me too!
That means you are a REALLY promising
Woodcutter!
I'm what's known as a Leafe. Good to meet you!
Me and my kind are a special type of forest spirit.
I can sense that you hold great respect for the
woods...an empathy that few humans understand.
You have the potential to become a true friend
of the forest.
Of course, you'll have to promise to put any
Elder Logs you harvest to admirable use.
And it's important to be thankful to the trees for
their sacrifice.
If you keep at it with that mind-set, you'll do well.
We'll be watching over you! Good luck.
Hey! [Player], congrats on felling your first
Elder Tree!
So I expect you'll be putting that Elder Log to
worthy use. Right, [Player]?
Don't worry, [Player]. She can't see me because
I'm a Leafe. Only friends of the forest can see us.
We're invisible to most people. You're a bit special,
it turns out.
Of course, Monika is on her way to becoming a
friend of the forest. She'll be able to see us soon.
Would you like me to restore the tree?
[Choice: Yes / No]
OK, friend. Just a moment.
Yah! Yah! Swish! Swoosh! Rustle!
Ah, I see. Well, please let me know if you need
my help.

*Hello! rustle Hello! rustle*
Oh, you really heard me! Only the most sensitive
Woodcutters can actually hear my voice! *rustle*
I'm a Leafe...a Forest Spirit. I'm one of the few of my
kind that can speak with humans. I love the practice!
Only a person who can truly understand the value of
an Elder Logs may cut down this tree.
You seem OK. But you must do it respectfully.
*rustle rustle* Watch me for a second.
I'll be keeping an eye on you.
Let me know if you
need any help.
Should I revive the tree?
[Choice: Yes / No]
Understood. Wait a moment.
There!
Done. *rustle, rustle* Let me know if you need any
more help!
You can see me...so you must be a Woodcutter.
Oh, you're looking for an Elder Log?
The Forest Lady was supposed to appear at a spring
around here. Maybe she got lost on her way?
*Yay! rustle Yay! rustle*

Elderwood Village 3
Can you get back OK on your own? I would feel
awful if you got lost in the forest.
Would you like me escort you to the Grassy Plains?
[Choice: $$That'd be great! / No, thanks]
OK, let's go! I know a shortcut that'll get us there
in the blink of an eye.
OK, good luck. I'm always willing to help, just
so you know.
