Field talk (35 lines)

South Castele

It's a shame there isn't an official Life for farmers. We work just as hard as anyone else! So we're trying to get a petition in front of the king. Hopefully he'll create a new Life! After all, farming IS the most noble profession.

Giles's House

We farmers have a lot to worry about, but you can break it down to the Big Three. One: crop destruction by weather or insect swarm. Two: monsters eating our crops. And three: travelers helping themselves to crops! It's not easy being a farmer, you know!

The Fledgling Mercenary Fightin' Furious

A fight 'tween person and veggie... Ain't sumthin' ya sees every day!
Aye, everythin' looks right as rain.
Haa...haa...help! It's awful!
Haa...haa...need ta catch me breath... Well...haa... basically...haa...
It's...haa...erm...haa...
Haa! Yes! I came ta say thanks ta the two young'uns.
I forgots ta say it before, but I'm right grateful fer all yer help.
Yer right! I did say that, didn't I? There IS sumthin' awful goin' on!
One o' them Razorbeaks is loose in my friend's field in West Castele!
Well, if ya feels so inclined, ask it yerself! At this rate, that field'll be torn ta pieces!
Great! Let's get it done, then!
What?! Yer sayin' this here Mercenary's brand- spankin' new?!
Ohhh! I know! I know! Vicious veggies what's attackin' folks?
Per'aps I'm askin' a bit much...
Thar's been a lot o' trouble on the fields of late. I'll be keepin' a better watch!
Me Carrots got a bit more lively 'n I'm used to!
They tore up me field good an' proper like. Guess I'd better get ta work fixin' it... *sigh*
Thar's more trouble in the fields! But it's worse this time! It's a Razorbeak!
Ya went and beat that Razorbeak? Well, I never! Yer quite the Mercenary!

The Fledgling Cook Welcome to Alfredo's Bistro!

What brings you to my farm, then?
Need some Carrots for a soup?
Well, I'll be! You're trying to impress Alfredo, ain'tcha?
That Alfredo's as picky as they come. Wants his Carrots straight from my patch.
Shame to eat 'em really. These veggies are my pride and joy. But good luck with that soup.
I see you took some. Might as well take these too. Just pulled 'em up.
Come to talk, eh? Sorry, but I've got to keep an eye on my farm right now.
You can buy my veggies in the Shopping District. But feel free to grab anything you find here.
Did you make that soup right and proper? Really? Good to hear it. Well done.
Looking for Cows' Milk, are you? There's a cow in East Castele—I'd say you should look there.
Trying to dig up some Vine-Ripened Tomatoes? Sorry. Can't help. They grow only in the north.
Found those Tomatoes you were looking for a bit back, did you? Good work there.
So you're going to make an omelet, eh? Best of luck with that.
So that omelet you were working on was a big success, was it? You really can cook, eh?
