— Tale of Lunares — 2
The captain? The king summoned him to the castle.
Captain Mustang is currently away on business. There's been some bother with the Napdragon. Apparently the beast is out of control.
— Tale of Lunares — 1
Captain Mustang isn't afraid of that dark warrior. But just looking at him makes ME shudder. *Yeesh!*
The Fledgling Paladin 5
Uh, I'm not the captain. For one thing, I don't even HAVE a mustache.
Go on. The sooner you meet everyone, the sooner you'll be out slicing up monsters with a sword!
No, no, I'm Ignatius. You can tell by my...uh...hmm. I guess you can't tell. We all look alike!
Sorry. I haven't seen anyone suspicious. I rarely leave the captain's side...and I don't think a thief would come within a mile of that mustache!
Wow, you caught the thieves all by yourself? I'm impressed!
The Fledgling Blacksmith 17
Hey, Sis! Thought I heard you in there.
I was about to knock, and then Grandpa burst through the door and ran past me.
I hadn't seen him since I started Paladin training 100 days ago... He looked pretty flustered.
I figured he'd be at the Crown. I really wasn't expecting to run into him here.
Oh. I see... Sorry, Sis.
Really? So then are you...Grandpa's pupil?
Oh, I'm not jealous or anything. In fact, I'd be happy if Grandpa found himself a new student.
He hasn't taken on a new pupil in a while. And it's all because I ran off to be a Paladin...
Oh, no, no.
I was just coming to drop off a letter I wrote to Grandpa.
Er, no... I tried to give it to him, but he just wouldn't take it. And he moves fast for an old guy!
I guess I'll try to get it to him later.
I dunno. He's pretty steamed.
I doubt he'll ever read it...
Whoa! Look at the time!
If I'm late getting back to my post, Captain Mustang is gonna have my head!
See you later, Sis!
Paladins' Hold 1
Captain Boom... Er, Captain Mustang is the noble chef... Er, chief... in charge of keeping the peace. Without him, Castanet... Er, Castele... would not be such a wonderful place!
Chat 22
Captain Mustache-a-rang... Er...I-I mean... C-Captain MUSTANG! He's in charge of all Paladins in Castele. We're lucky to have such an impressive mustache as captain... I-I mean...an impressive LEADER! I-I'm so done...
*sniff sniff* Is that the scent of soot from a Blacksmith's forge I smell? Surprised? Well... Truth be told, I wasn't always a Paladin. I used to be a Blacksmith not that long ago. But, I, uhh...sort of got away from that Life.
Oh, hey there, [Player]. My sister Magmia told me all about you. She said you were the one responsible for crafting my brand-new Custom Bronze Sword. You have my gratitude! That sword is the sole reason I was able to pass my entrance exam into the order unscathed!
Sorry...I'm busy right now. Can you come back later?
One of the good things about being a Blacksmith is the ability to make and sell your own items. The idea really appealed to me back then, so I decided to try to be a Blacksmith. But... I since traded in my hammer for a sword and shield. If memory serves, now that you're a Fledgling, you can craft a hammer by using a Bronze Ingot. You have to learn to walk before you can run. Good luck!
The best thing about being a Blacksmith is the ability to sell the items you make. For example... if you make yourself a Bronze Hammer, you can sell it and have a nice little profit!
I knew you could do it, [Player]. That would make you an Apprentice now, right? That means you can go about mastering crafts one by one. What does that mean? Well... it means if you craft an item enough times, you'll eventually be able to craft that item automatically. Granted, you won't be able to make any quality items that way, but it sure makes Life easier. Ah... Just thinking about the old days at the forge really takes me back.
If you craft an item enough times, you'll be able to craft it automatically with next to no effort. It's almost like you're not even holding a hammer!
You say you've reached the Adept rank? Impressive! Hey, have you heard? Deep inside Lava Cave on Mount Snowpeak is a secret smithy! Mysterious, huh? They say that's the secret lair of the Legendary Ironsmith himself. If you're aiming to be the very best Blacksmith, then that's definitely a must-visit place! ...Too bad I'm not a Blacksmith anymore.
Apparently there's a secret smithy somewhere deep within Lava Cave on Mount Snowpeak. The monsters up there are VERY dangerous, so you best be careful!
Oh, [Player]! I heard you became an Expert Blacksmith. Er...do you think I could perhaps trouble you for a favor? I could really, REALLY use your help. I'll need to borrow that nose for ingredients you've got! See, I need two pieces of armor. For the Gladiator's Helm, visit the Cave of Bones and obtain a Coal-Black Feather from the Hootlums. The Gladiator's Cuirass will require a Strong Fang from the Fanged Apes of Mount Snowpeak. Say, I think this time around I'd like to join you. Together we can get these items made no problem! All right! Let's go!
A Gladiator's Helm requires a Coal-Black Feather found on the Hootlums inside the Cave of Bones. For a Gladiator's Cuirass, we'll need a Strong Fang from the Fanged Apes of Mount Snowpeak. If you need help getting the materials, just give me a shout and I'll accompany you!
Congratulations on becoming a Master Blacksmith! I always knew you could make it, [Player]! Not even the tiniest ember of doubt in my mind! You know, seeing you work so diligently at becoming such an ace Blacksmith is downright inspirational. So much so that it really has me thinking about dusting off my old hammer and hitting the forge. I can't hide it. I really enjoy being a Blacksmith, but I just couldn't deal with one tiny bit of failure... I didn't give myself a chance to grow and improve. I just can't leave it half finished like that! That's why Grandpa was more furious than a raging furnace in the summer. But the truth is, I really love being a Blacksmith. I really do. Ack! S-sorry about that. I, uhh, got carried away. What were we talking about before? ...Oh yeah. Please accept this as a token of congratulations. I hope you make good use of it!
Oh, I'm still going to continue my duties here as a Paladin. This Life is my pride and joy! That's the best thing about Reveria. You can choose more than one Life! The decision is yours!
[Player]! H-hold on a moment! I just got some great news you'd like to hear! On a recent trip to Port Puerto, I ran into this Plushling merchant and we got to talking... He told me he was planning to open up a materials shop in Lava Cave on Mount Snowpeak. He said he'd be selling all kinds of useful blacksmithing materials. I took a trip to see what he had for sale. So. Many. Rare. ITEMS! It made my head spin! ...Aaand so did the price tags. Everything was so expensive! I couldn't even afford the cheapest item! You seem like you're rolling in Dosh. How about you take a look and go on a little shopping spree?
That Plushling merchant sells all sorts of ultrarare blacksmithing materials up on Mount Snowpeak. But, boy, you sure pay for quality. Why not go up there for some retail therapy?
Well done on reaching Legend rank! I'm excited to see you go so far. But I honestly didn't know if you'd make it in my Lifetime. D-don't get me wrong! I'm happy you did! You're responsible for getting me back into blacksmithing, so even if you didn't... you'd still be a Legend in my book, [Player]!
Ha ha, whoa. What gives? You look like you've seen a ghost! Huh? Nervous? No way! You may have reached Legend rank, but you're still the same ol' [Player]!
Hey, [Player]! I heard the news! Things are really looking up!
I guess I'm just the sort of person who's always looking toward a brighter tomorrow. Let's both forge ourselves a great future!
Congratulations on achieving Creator rank! That's probably not enough to convey how excited I am for you, but it's the best I can do. Uhh... Hmm. I wonder what kind of present I could give you for something this monumental. Hmm. This? Or maybe...this? Grr... Aha! Here we are! I know it isn't much, but I'm sure if anyone can make use of this craft, it's you!
Hey, remember the good ol' days? You know! Back when you were just a Fledgling... running around trying to make that sword for me? That sword is still very important to me! Kinda like how a teddy bear is important to a little kid. I'd love to keep talking, but I'm kind of on duty. There's peace I should be keeping, after all! Still, I just can't help thinking back to those days...
