Field talk (455 lines)

Prologue: Welcome to Reveria!

Well, you certainly took your time in responding to my summons. I'm sorry if I inconvenienced you at all.
After all, I, Erik, 11th king of Castele, am only the ruler of our entire realm! Sure, let me wait!
*sigh* ...I ask for so little. Anyway, so it is my royal duty to explain to you how all citizens choose a Life that they wish to pursue.
As King Erik, your rightful, kind, and loving ruler, allow me to congratulate you on this auspicious day.
After all, it's not every day that we are graced by the presence of a young...uh...
Sorry—which Life did you choose? I forgot what they said in the morning briefing...
What? I can't be expected to remember every little— Oh, it doesn't matter!
So may the Life you have chosen lead you to glory, fame, success...all that good stuff. Got it?
I'm sorry—what was that? Now you're mumbling to yourself? My speeches are soooo boring, is that it?
I like a
Allow me to introduce my wife, Queen Ophelia.
The reluctantly smiling young lady to my right is—
That girl is shameless when it comes to openly defying my orders. I told her to stay in the castle!
Doesn't she know that children are supposed to listen to their parents?!
Well, I'll just have to deal with her later. Anyway, back to the matter at hand...
As a subject of mine, I ask that you conduct yourself with dignity at all times.
Most importantly, enjoy your chosen Life and cherish the opportunity to share it with others.
Gather much Dosh if you so wish.
Pursue a Life filled with Bliss if you so desire.
Or just collect Dandelion Puffs until you keel over. It's up to you. Knock yourself out.
All who reside in our great land of Reveria are free to live however they see fit.
[Player] the [Name 1] will follow a singular path heretofore uncharted since the first sunrise!
Please accept these gifts from the royal family as a token of our happiness for your future prosperity.
We would also like to provide you with a basic set of Novice armor for your Life. Try it on, please.
How's that for "even the slightest bit interested"?
Good to know the king's still got it. NOW! On to our next matter of business...
As you may or may not know, in Reveria we offer a Master for each Life. This will be your mentor.
You will begin as a Novice under the tutelage of a Master. This is how it has always been done.
Once you have earned your Master's respect, you will be promoted to the rank of Fledgling.
Your Life does not change. Just your rank. With hard work, you may achieve the level of Master yourself.
Who knows? You may even surpass it and attain the level of Hero or, dare I mention, Legend.
But let's not get ahead of ourselves. First, you must meet with the [Name 1] Master.
May doing so prepare you for an exciting and fulfilling chapter in your newly budding Life.
Well then, [Player], my keen subject. Now you must make your way to your Master posthaste.
I wish you eternal luck in your new [Name 1] Life.
Should you ever become disheartened, you are always welcome to draw strength here at the castle... just don't, y'know...spend all your time just hanging around the castle.
I have said all I will. Be off now.

Tale of Lunares: Chapter Two

And what you're doing is tantamount to insubordination, Sir Mustache.
I will not allow my daughter to run willy-nilly, helter-skelter, or pell-mell through the kingdom!
What is the meaning of this frightening intrusion?! Guards, quickly! Somebody hold me!
Well, if my Minister deemed you worthy of entry, then I shall entertain your...flapping. State your business.
That, Professor Hughes, is where you are mistaken.
When a talking butterfly appears in my court, I shall make the time, lest I fall prey to the prophecy.
Wasn't there a talking-butterfly prophecy? No? Not ringing a bell? Well, someone should make one up.
A letter? On paper?
I just remembered that I have a very important council meeting to attend! We have eggs to discuss.
Good-bye.
I COMMAND THEE TO HOLD!
Wow...I can't believe that worked.
Laura! Step away from the Napdragon this instant!
Leave this to me!
This Napdragon may be furious and out of control, but I can still make it cower before me!
Though small in stature, I command a fearsome presence. And that is how one truly tames a beast!
Now, Captain Mustang. If you will hand me my lute.
Captain Mustache, control your men!
I do owe you all my thanks. You have served bravely while cowering in fear. That is not an easy task.
You protected my daughter. Thank you for that.
Laura, does this not take you back to one of our many adventures?
You always had a greater love for wild beasts such as this one.
No time for that! Napdragon! I am your king!
I'm not certain you remember me. It has been quite some time since you and I last locked horns.
But I have returned with authority in my voice, and I command you to CALM THEE DOWN. PLEASE.
*I'm a little busy right now, butterfly...*
Are you certain of that?
How can you understand it?
Wait?! Did you say "nest"? There is one at the highest point of Mount Snowpeak.
It seems that whatever is happening up there is agitating the Napdragon. Let's investigate. Quickly!
Hardly. This is just as high as I ever let you climb.
Very well, my dear. Quickly. Be brave and careful!
Napdragon! Look deeply into my eyes... You are getting very— My, you really have beautiful eyes.
I still can't believe you had the nerve, Hughes.
Ah, Hughes. I'm glad to see you can finally admit what a poor sense of humor you truly have.
Well, it looks like all has ended well here with one very happy Napdragon!
And it seems as though my daughter has found herself some very worthy adventuring allies.
[Player], Butterfly, you have a king's gratitude. Mine. Not just any king's... My gratitude. I should've just said you have my gratitude.
Ah...that could only be the inelegantly named Goddess Cog.
It was a gift to Reveria from the Goddess herself. I never thought I'd actually see it in person, though.
King of the Mountain? That is how the king of Castele was addressed in the olden days.
OH! You mean me?!
Destruction? What are you talking about? We have crops, Horses, lots of buildings... We're quite good.
OK, floating female apparition above the mountain chasm, permit me a question.
I must. If Reveria is in danger because the sky is falling, what can we possibly do about it?
The people?
What, you mean...even people from...other lands?!
Oh, come on! Those people are savages! They'll never unite with us.
I proclaim that to be the strangest thing that has ever happened to me. Laura, don't tell your mother.
Yes. That may be the case.
It has long troubled me that our bonds of friendship with neighboring Port Puerto have been severed.
This may be just the excuse I have been waiting for to reach out to them. And to repair our relations.
Hughes, I want you to tell me everything you can find out about the Goddess Cog. With our new friend's permission, of course.
Captain Mustang. I want the patrols surrounding Castele doubled.
Laura, I apologize for hurting your feelings and holding you prisoner in your own room.
I'm glad you see it my way. Apology accepted.
Laura, in the past, I was always able to quickly jump in if you were ever in any danger.
But you're older now. And it's difficult for me to realize I must let you protect yourself at times.
I should have expressed this to you earlier, rather than acting like a child myself.
You are grown up now. With good friends. And I realize I cannot treat you like a child forever.
Don't tell your mother that, either. I will no longer confine you to the castle.
Not that it seems to have stopped you, anyway...
I love you very much, Laura. And I want you to know I would never do anything to hurt you.
*ahem* Laura, please. At least in front of others call me King Daddy.
[Player]. Butterfly. I am eternally indebted to you both. Thank you.
Wait—did Butterfly leave?
Well, regardless, I am pleased Laura has met good friends she can trust on her adventures.
Perhaps you could be my companions in the future if I ever decide to sneak out of the castle.
Ah ha ha! Just kidding!
I think it's time we returned to the castle, Laura.
Your mother is worried sick. Let's go back, and we can plan out your next adventure.
Yes, the mountain air is good for the soul! And the wings, I would assume.
Butterfly, have I ever told you how lovely the dulcet tones of your voice are? So familiar...somehow...
At some point, I would like to do something about the lighting in here. It's so...eh.
What are you doing? I can't hold this stare forever! Begone!
Open that chest, [Player]! Let's see what's in it!

Tale of Lunares: Chapter Three

Ah, well met, [Player]. This is a bit of a surprise.
But tradition demands that I once again express my gratitude to you for protecting Laura, blah blah...
Now that we've gotten that out of the way, what can I do for you?
...Why, yes. Of course! I summoned you here... personally. To do that, uh...that thingie thing.
Oh! Actually, I do remember now. The Goddess Cog that was bestowed upon you recently...
Hughes has been researching it extensively and has come up with something rather interesting.
He found an ancient text that tells of a legend that begins with Doomstones falling from the sky.
It speaks of how unsettling this was to the ancient people, and it then goes on to describe...
a large X that besmirches the face of Lunares.
Besmirches, yes. It seems these same events we are now experiencing have happened in the past.
The Goddess Cog is also mentioned. And that is all I remember Hughes saying before I lost interest.
Hughes! I'm shocked. Such wishful thinking aloud is quite unlike you. And rather pathetic. I like it.
[Player], I would like you to gather the Goddess Treasures so that we may unravel this enigma.
I would trust no one else with an adventurous matter such as... Uh-oh. I think I hear her coming.
I said "adventurous," if you must know, Laura. And I must say, it is quite rude to simply interrupt the king.
Laura, please. My subjects do not need to hear about the king getting weepy peepies.
You are to travel to the neighboring land of Port Puerto and find this other Goddess Treasure.
Port Puerto is a land of freedom, leniently governed by pirates and nobility. Very leniently, I must say.
I think it's the weather. It's always perfect, the sun is always out... It's awful.
But you two were our unanimous choices for this.
Do not disappoint me.
I have written a letter for the governor of Port Puerto. Here.
It's too subtle, isn't it?
Never mind. There's no time for revisions! Off to Port Puerto you go!
And tell him a late lunch would be fine too.
Well, if it isn't [Player]! I was beginning to wonder if we'd lost you to the trappings of Port Puerto.
You both look good with a bit of color. Especially you, Butterfly.
Oh, I love the overdramatic attempt at metaphor that those Port Puertoans have.
Port Puertoans? Puerto-ians? What are they called?
No matter. It's their concern, not mine, if they can't have a respectable name that rolls off the tongue.
[Player] and flutterer, you have my praise. Which, yes, is a king's praise. Good work.
I was not aware of the fact butterflies had knees. Even a king learns something new each day.
No one likes a braggart, Butterfly.
You have our thanks, and now you have our Dosh. Feel free to spend it all here in Castele.
Home is the hero's true destination. You are welcome to it. Take care and rest up.
Castele has ties to Port Puerto that go back several generations. But they're a bit too relaxed for me.
Terrific work, [Player]. I hope you did not receive any rough treatment from the pirates?

Tale of Lunares: Chapter Four

[Player]! We've been eagerly waiting for you. Next time please wipe the pillow marks off your face.
Enough with the pleasantries. [Player] and Butterfly, you have proven to be a dynamic duo.
That's enough. We have a matter of great importance to discuss.
Actually, my dear, that is exactly what I expect.
Yes, I did. And yes, you can. And yes, you will. But not here and not now.
Let's just move on with the story, darling.
It matters not who won. A truce was reached.
Now, Laura. There's no need to rehash every moment in front of our...guest subjects.
Hughes, I tire of war.
Come now, Hughes. Do not frighten them. As king, I hereby decree that everything will be all right!
I am not convinced this will work. However, we must try.
Take this, [Player].
Pray, head forth to Al Maajik and deliver this letter to the Dark Sultan. Make haste! In fact, make posthaste!
Ugh! That letter is never going to work!
Go, noble heroes, blah blah blah... Go forth and deliver that letter while I try to think of a plan B.
The Dark Sultan is a most dreadful adversary.
Be warned.
And remember to have fun!
Ah, [Player], you have finally arrived! We were beginning to wonder if you'd turned traitor on us!
Butterfly. It's OK. We're here for you.
If anyone knows the trials of conflict with Al Maajik, it's me. It takes a big man to overcome the pain.
I see you have returned with something for us...
So it would appear my old rival has made a triumphant return from his stony prison.
I wonder what my next move in this game of pranks shall be...
Ah...n-nothing, dear, nothing.
I am most grateful for your efforts!
You successfully retrieved the treasure, and in doing so, erased any animosity between our two lands.
Hughes, take the Goddess Compass and glean what you can from it. Report back to us immediately.
Excellent, Hughes.
Exceptional work, [Player]. You as well, Butterfly. The two of you have earned a fine rest.
Here is your reward for a job well done. My staff has also prepared a trough of sugared water for you.
Don't worry. I shall summon you both back here once Hughes has finished his investigation.
We're not out of the woods yet.
The battle with the great Dark Sultan of Al Maajik was, let's see now...over 10 years ago. I was much taller in those days...
Most excellent work, [Player]! I recommend getting some rest today.

Tale of Lunares: Chapter Five

Laura, please. I'm sure they weren't just standing around simply for the sake of making us wait.
Yes, perhaps. Please forgive our manners. Thank you for coming, Butterfly, and you as well, [Player].
We do have a piece of urgent business to deal with regarding the Goddess Treasures.
We could really take a pass on the sarcasm this morning, Butterfly.
Hughes here has been tirelessly researching not only the items you procured but also their history.
And it appears that Hughes has discovered something of great importance.
I believe Hughes will soon share with us his findings.
That's what I've been trying to get you to do all this time, but you seem intent on drawing this out with—
Hughes and I are both of the opinion that a fourth and final Goddess Treasure is still out there...
somewhere in the land ruled by The Great Spirit.
My loyal subjects, you must know what I ask of you.
Indeed. Bring us that final treasure so that we may save Reveria.
...That's a good question. Hughes?
The stage is set for a grand adventure steeped in mystery, is it not?
Well then, you must tell us immediately, my dear!
Where is this land?
Ophelia, um...where is this land of The Great Spirit? Come now. It's, uh...kind of important here.
Yes, but darling...if the world ends, you know they'll be going down with the rest of us, so...
This doesn't surprise me. The queen has a gift for communicating with spirits.
Why would you? Communicating with spirits runs in her bloodline.
Laura's power to communicate with beasts such as the Napdragon is also derived from this gift.
"They" could mean many people.
I once knew a Carpenter named They Tuttlebaum, but I don't think he—
No interruptions! Can't you see we're talking about important...Tuttlebaums?!
Yes, another Doomstone, fine.
Fine. Send a search party to investigate.
The Elderwood isn't even under my jurisdiction!
Fine. Hughes, take whatever troops you need and retrieve this Doomstone!
[Player] and Butterfly too!
You two are seasoned pros by now when it comes to neutralizing and securing Doomstones.
Also keep an eye on Hughes, will you? He's very important to our goal here.
A fine soldierly, yet fluttery, response!
Beware the Elderwood. It is very... Just beware.
No. Go now. Give Hughes any assistance he needs, and be careful!
Come back to us in one piece. Well, two pieces—one piece each. One whole piece each.
LET ME GO, MUSTACHE!
Stop treating me like I'm some sort of child! I am a grown man...inside a child's body!
My dearest daughter, Laura! My loving wife, Ophelia! You are both safe! I was so worried about you!
Ah, and, [Player]! And...you, strange girl from Mount Snowpeak. You must be Yuelia. Hello.
The Great Spirit and Leilah filled me in on everything.
I apologize I could not arrive earlier. Royal matters tied me up at the castle.
SILENCE! You're just jealous you didn't get any.
Now. Child of Lunares!
We have all been deeply touched by your devotion to our land of Reveria.
You have given us reason to see the folly of living Life in fear rather than love.
By crossing many lands and befriending many leaders, you have shown us to be truly one land.
No longer shall we be bound by silly local laws or obsolete oaths.
I have spoken with The Great Spirit. We have agreed to join the forest with the rest of Reveria.
Only through this unity can we forestall the threat we all currently face.
It's the lack of facial hair, isn't it? Well, I am glad to feel appreciated, dear. Now, if I may... *ahem*
I have made a decision to hold a Reveria Summit!
We shall gather representatives from every region...
and combine our skills and knowledge to decide upon a decisive course of action!
Everyone shall attend. The heroes, the sorcerers, the pirates...even the spirits!
All those who reside in our glorious land of Reveria!
Our theme shall be "Save Your Planet"!
And there will be cookies and tea for everyone!
A word of praise I just heard from my daughter? My, I'd almost forgotten what that sounded like.
Just one last item, then. Hughes? Will this ship fly?
FORMER BUTTERFLY, YUELIA!
I offer you a king's congratulations for your discovery of the legendary Goddess Ship.
Meaning my congratulations. I'm that king who congratulates. I really need to stop doing that.
Preparations for the Reveria Summit may take some time, but we will try to hasten the process.
You should all take this opportunity to rest and refresh yourselves.
Of course! Return to wherever your nonbutterfly wings shall take you!
Go tell Pam of your great deeds here! And please remind her that her insurance premiums are due.
Go to the Grassy Plains and then head due north to find the Elderwood.
Well done, [Player]. Well done, indeed. Please take a well-earned rest.

Tale of Lunares: Chapter Six

Are we all met, then?
First of all, I would like to thank each and every one of you for coming.
Just by your presence here, you have acknowledged the gravity of the situation that threatens Reveria.
I thank you in advance for sharing your wisdom with all of us. This will truly take a united effort.
Take it away, butterfly girl.
We still don't even know what these Doomstones actually are!
*We're like egg yolk...*
Hmm...
This information might have been useful before we started the summit.
I agree. I propose we trust this girl and carry on with the new knowledge that...her dad is a god.
Yuelia, you must tell us: Why did you keep something like this a secret for so long?
Fresh into
Yes. We all share the same wish.
It is as you say, Hughes. That is why we have assembled here today.
The forest boy's idea isn't so bad.
Stop toying with us, Hughes! Speak plainly!
Well, let's just get a cart full of Floatstones up to the ship and we'll be off!
Surely there must be some way we can get our hands on a...high-octane floaty-powered rock!
That being said, how can we locate a legendary floating island?
...Anyone know this man?
And you claim to have espied Terra Nimbus?
My, my. That was quite...unexpected.
The existence and whereabouts of Terra Nimbus shall be exhaustively investigated!
As for now, I believe we should break. My thirst for pickles has been awakened by all of this summit stuff.
Well, I must say I'm surprised anything useful came out of your...meeting with that man.
But if you think a pupil of his could help us find Terra Nimbus, I am inclined to trust your instincts.
We have precious little else to go on.
We shall resume our discussions here.
Meanwhile, you can help us by seeing if you can find any other information regarding Terra Nimbus.
*Now...did we have any more pickles left?*
Not this time, darling.
[Player] and Butterfly, we are counting on you.
Please let us know if you come across anything useful regarding the existence of Terra Nimbus.
Preposterous! A bunny tied to a fish would just look like a bunny tied to a fish! Nothing more.
Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't notice your return. What do you have to report?
That is a groundbreaking achievement.
Well...I suppose if it's all right with our friends here, then, yes. Go ahead.
He does not need my forgiveness. I should have listened to him earlier.
Oh, is that so?
I'm sorry—I don't believe you've properly made my acquaintance.
Father, just put some pants on, please.
Well, what else do you expect a god to do, Father?
And stick it in the hole!
I really should get these walls patched up.
What do you suggest we do from here, Hughes?
Only two passengers? On such a sizable airship?
I think she was joking, Hughes.
This sounds like the perfect job for the young pilot who found Terra Nimbus.
Of course we ALL know who the other person should be...right? Everyone knows...including me?
Of course! And that's what I am thinking... I am thinking of the obvious choice! *It's me, right?*
Of course, then. Heh heh. We shall defer, and... my noble wife, Ophelia, shall go in my place!
Well then...I'm glad that's finally settled.
It may well be the last time we see each other, but that's no reason for me to act less haughtily.
*AHEM* Do not disappoint me, [Player]! Carry out this task...lest I...have to order you a new one.
Take this, and...go save our world.
You're a fine lad yourself. So unlike your father. Ha ha ha! *ahem* ...Heh.
Of course. Why, I've actually come to enjoy looking like a little boy...permanently.
Tell that to your father next time you see him.
Very kind of you. I will be sure to visit you at some point in the not-too-near future. *And watch your back, little kiddie. King Erik just may have a stinky surprise waiting for you! Heh heh!*
This will be an adventure unlike any before it. I have high hopes for you!
To think that Terra Nimbus really does exist. Wow. Well done, well done.

Tale of Lunares: Final Chapter

I'm trying to work up my indignation to tell you I do not like to be kept waiting!
Well, [Player]! Step on board!
And when you get to Lunares, be sure to tell the god there that we're all uniting to save Reveria.
We're all committed to the prosperity of our world.
Especially to Castele. So, you know, if there are any kingdom bonuses or anything he could throw out—
Of course we are! I'm just saying... I'm just saying good luck to you all. And thank you.
Yes, I see it. Lunares...is closing. Well, we had a good run, didn't we? I mean, I don't really regret—
It is disconcerting that Yuelia is missing...
Come back to Castele! Your king shall be waiting! That's me, of course. Your king, everyone's king...

Flutter 012 Dinky Dad

Ah, well met, [Player]!
I was just telling the queen here what a debt of gratitude we owe you.
The creature is back to dozing in the sun...where I wish I was. All is as it should be.
We are still awaiting his results.
In haste, there is error, which we can ill afford. Therefore, we have no option but to be patient.
I just made that up! Not bad, eh? I need someone to follow me around and write down everything I say.
Also, I have indeed rescinded the order restricting Princess Laura to her room. My mind hath changed.
OK, that one wasn't so good. I don't want that one written down.
Although I am still concerned for her welfare, as she is my little girl, I trust her to make good decisions.
Remind me of that when she gets lost out there in the West Grassy Plains at night.
But I stand by what I said, even while I was caught up in the excitement of dragons and prophetic visions.
I was...wr-wr-wr... *ahem* Pardon me. Confining the princess to her room was wr-wr-wr... I can't say it!
Well, yes...but...this is completely different.
Because Laura is a GIRL...
There're monsters and things outside of Castele! Things that are scary for girls!
OK, OK! Enough!
Look, I already said I was wrong, OK?! The princess has my permission to explore the kingdom.
As long as she tells us where she's going.
I am sure that you, my new friends, will see to it no harm befalls my little girl. Please take these.
There's one small matter left to be resolved. That is the matter of her curfew.
How does noon sound?

Flutter 039 Crashing the Castle

Ah, [Player]! Well met. Well met, indeed. And a fine job. A fine job, indeed. We owe you our thanks.
Indeed.
Thanks to you, as well, Yuelia. Now Reveria can safely greet the new dawn...of the new day.
A new dawn of a new day. I'm not sure that's... Can we maybe get a royal speechwriter? Or a poet?
I'm glad to have the chance to thank you in person. For only in person are we truly...personal.
Is it true you've come to live with us in Reveria?
Why, of course! It's more than OK, actually. It's OK- tastic!
But had I known you were returning, I would have laid on a most extravagant celebration in your honor!
Indeed. We shall leave that task to you, Hughes. *I am certainly not going to do it.*
Quite so! It has rather piqued my interest too. I even lie awake at night pondering the matter!
In fact, [Player], watching your adventures from a distance has given me pause...
Not like cat paws, but like "thinking" pause. And I've been thinking much about the glory of adventuring.
I command you, [Player], to take me along on your adventures!
Well...if you wish, that is. Please take me along if it is ever convenient for you. I would appreciate that.
I yearn to revisit all the wonderful and precious sites and splendors that were so nearly lost forever.
I shan't rest until I have seen everything Reveria has to offer. I just shan't.
I thought so. However, I would appreciate it if no word of this reached Lady Ophelia's ears.

Flutter 042 Castele's Kid King

So then, [Player], have you made any discoveries since last we met?
What is this?! You call me "cute"?! *Excellent.*
Ha ha ha! Oh, that's charming. I'm the ruler of this part of Reveria. I represent the people.
Despite my appearance, I am actually the same age as Queen Ophelia here.
Well, this year I turned the ripe old age of—
Oh...well, let's just say I'm old enough to be wise and young enough to maintain my spritely beauty.
Do you find your garb...oppressive and stuffy? I often wish I could change clothes.
I see. Insulted at the Royal Court by my wife and daughter. What a unique day this is.
I'm never going to live that down, am I?
Well, allow me to present you with a gift from the kingdom of Castele.
I was talking to Grace.
But I suppose you deserve something as well. Here you are, Yuelia.
Professor Hughes here never learned to play it cool. But he would indeed very much like a visit from you.

System Quest 003

Well met, [Player]. As recognition for your exploits in the [Name 1] Life... I want to reward you with [Name 2] pieces of apparel suitable for such a Hero.
Tales of your great deeds shall be passed down for generations as an example of true righteousness. It is no exaggeration to say you have been instrumental in building the future of this kingdom. I sincerely hope you will continue to tread the path of righteousness for many years to come.
At last it seems you have reached the status of Legend [Name 1]. Congratulations! You truly are Castele's, nay, Reveria's treasure. In addition to celebrating this auspicious day, I would like to present you with this as recognition of your achievements.
The skills you have mastered in the [Name 1] Life may prove useful in another vocation. Those with bravery in their hearts can achieve anything. Bravery...and a sense of justice.
Well met, [Player]. As recognition for your exploits in the [Name 1] Life... I want to reward you with [Name 2] pieces of apparel suitable for such a Hero.
In the old days, Hunters in service of the crown were known as guards of the royal garden. That ancient practice is long finished, yet your diligent efforts have pleased me. Continue to serve not only the crown but all the people of Reveria.
News of your abilities has reached mine ears long before you achieved this rank of Legend. What an auspicious day it is indeed. I would like to present you with this as proof of your achievements.
What plans have you for the future? I hear tell many Hunters like to travel. If you have the mind to, why not join their ranks? Or perhaps you might opt to remain and take on the challenge of a different Life. You must choose your own path. No one else can determine your fate.
Well met, humble [Player]. I have heard tell of your diligent deeds. In recognition of your exploits as a [Name 1], I want to reward you with apparel befitting a Hero.
Unlike the glamorous Paladin, the Mercenary is an unsung hero. Yet the legacy of your brave deeds shall be long, and your passion shall be felt across the land. Know that you do not fight alone, for your king is with you always in spirit.
At last it seems you have reached the status of Legend [Name 1]. Congratulations! I see in you the embodiment of a true legend, the type of whom I have heard tell in many stories. In addition to celebrating this auspicious day, I would like to present you with this...

Your Bag is full, my

Erik

I suppose you have many questions about the Life you've chosen. My only advice is quite simple: if you listen to your Master and work diligently, you will meet with great success, I'm sure.
At times I like to pretend an assassin has been sent here after me...and I have him seized in court! But nothing that dangerous ever happens here, lucky for me.
I wonder if Hughes could develop a way of predicting where Doomstones will fall.
My subjects are having trouble sleeping ever since the Doomstone fell. I understand their anxiety. We might address this situation as quickly as possible, for everyone's sake.
We will notify you when the examination of the Goddess Cog is complete. Thank you.
I met Ophelia while I was sneaking around outside the castle, true...but Laura need not know that.
The anchor found in Port Puerto is being examined by Hughes. I will send for you once that's finished.
Has Ahab been well? Still as sharp tongued as ever? He has done well in giving his power to his children.
Thank you for your hard work. I shall let you know once Hughes is done examining the compass.
So the Elder Dark Sultan has made a comeback... I certainly hope he doesn't cause any trouble.
I shall have you attend the Reveria Summit. You will be summoned when you're needed.
I'd heard many a tale of Elderwood Village from my dear wife, Ophelia. It all seemed so familiar.
That fateful day is getting closer, and the fate of Reveria is in your hands. No pressure!
*sigh* That father of mine... I don't ask him to be who he's not, but why can't he be...clothed?
[Player], no words can express my gratitude! I am very proud of our world and everyone in it!
Who would have guessed that Lunares was the lid of an opening into our world?! My eyes are now open!
Oh, [Player]. Do you bring me any news?
Oh, [Player]. Do you bring me any news?
Hmm...so Origin Island does exist. I should like to meet the ruler of the island someday.
So the legendary ancient Reverians do, in fact, exist. Looks like I owe Laura a piece of candy. Blast!
Everyone has been telling me about your escapades on Origin Island. What is next for you, do you think?
That talk of Origin Island has made me think about digging some hot springs here. What do you think?

Origin Island: Chapter One

Ah. We have been waiting. As usual.
We have. Your sister here, although a bit reluctant to open up to us at first, perhaps...
has told us what she knows. Which is, to say...not much. Huey here has been tirelessly researching this.
Hughes has postulated that perhaps the god is your father. And now that we know he's mentioned it...
I concur with Noelia. I think it sounds rather creepy.
You say your father calls himself Divinus, yes?
Who's in the mood for a regal send-off speech?!
*AHEM* Noble [Player]! Goddess child, Yuelia! Noelia. You must find this Origin Island of legend! Please.
Make haste to Elderwood Village—my sentries in the forest shall be thy guide. I think they're there.
To know how the ancient Reverians lived... Quite a fascinating allure to knowledge, yes?
