Find Rem in Eternia Village

Chapter 4: The Polturnip and the Leafe. Quest: Find Rem in Eternia Village

RanoahI trust you can handle this, Professor?

ChemmelHohoho! But of course, Your Highnesses. My talented assistant and I will put our hearts and souls into crafting these items.

MiraEep...!

TripWhat's so funny, huh...? You think I look like that Alchemist dude?

TripIn what universe?! C'mon, I'm way more handsome than him! Right?

RemPlayer!

RemI was hoping you'd be back soon! Are you setting out on another adventure?

RemIn other words, you're looking for a way to harvest this "Polturnip." This reminds me of a fairy tale I know!

RemIt's called "The Cacophonous Carrot." Once upon a time, there was a carrot that was so loud, no one could pluck it out of the ground!

RemOnly with a magical tool called the Spirit Hoe were they able to harvest the carrot. When they used it, the carrot calmed right down.

TripThat's genius! But wait... Where the heck do we get a tool like that?

RemThere's supposedly a place called the Valley of Spirits in Faraway Island, which is part of our kingdom.

RemIt may be a good place to look for a Spirit Hoe. I could lead you there, if you'd like!

RemDid you hear that, Little G? Our next adventure will be on Faraway Island!

RanoahNow hold on, Rem. I don't recall giving my little sister permission to run off to all the ends of Mysteria.

RemOh, please? Can I please go, Ranoah? Faraway Island is our special place, isn't it, Little G?

RanoahHere come the puppy eyes. *Sigh* Fine, but be careful!

RemThank you!

RanoahPromise me you will take good care of her. I do not want a repeat of the past...

TripThe past? What happened in the past?

RanoahWhen Rem was very young, she was kidnapped. By bandits.

RanoahThey came for her while she was out alone. By some miracle she was not injured... But had she been, our departed mother would never forgive me.

MotherPromise me that you'll look after Rem.

MotherI'm afraid I don't have much time left. I won't be able to stay and look after the two of you myself...

MotherBut I believe in you, Ranoah... You are smart, strong, and kind... As long as Rem has you, I know she'll be all right.

MotherMy brave boy... Please, take care of your little sister.

RanoahMy father entrusted me with the kingdom when he passed. And when my mother passed, she entrusted me with my sister.

RanoahI have to protect them both. That is my sworn duty.

TripHuh. So that's the reason why you're so overprotective!

RanoahPrecisely. And I will "overprotect" you with a jail cell if you let anything happen to my sister. Now off with you, before I change my mind!
