Swimming and movement
Distances are in metres; the game works in centimetres.
Swimming
A character switches to swimming when the water at its position is at least a set depth. There are two depths: one for most places and a separate one for crafting areas. A check in the movement code picks which one applies, and what it tests was not traced. Neither depth is in the game's data files, and neither is the swimming speed factor, so all three are unknown.
Dropping into water plays one of three splash effects, set at 0.75 m, 2 m and 3.2 m.
Steps and ledges
| Highest step, outdoor maps | 0.5 m |
|---|---|
| Highest step, Ginormosia | 0.8 m |
Mounts use the same step heights. The indoor value is not in the data files.
Party members
A party member who falls more than 27 m behind, or ends up more than 10 m above or below the player, warps back to the player.
