Chapter 5: The Artist's Treasure Hunt. Quest: Search for Kikyo at the X spots
RemOh, look at that! It looks like a sketchbook.
PauletteWhat?! Let me see that!Paulette*Gasp* This eye-catching style, the tasteful artistry... There's no doubt about it. This is Kikyo's work.RemIsn't this landscape she captured beautiful? Her style has such a subdued elegance to it...PauletteYou should have seen the piece she submitted at the first art competition she won. It was just magnificent.PauletteHad I won that competition, I would've quit being an Artist altogether.RemReally?! Why?PauletteUp until that point, I believed that my work was singular. Unparalleled.PauletteBut art had begun to lose its magic. There was no more drama. No more surprise.PauletteThat day I saw Kikyo's art... WHAM! It made my heart race.PauletteYou know what I mean, don't you? When art hits you harder than just BLAMMO—it goes WHAM!PauletteI knew I wasn't alone. Glad to see we understand each other.PauletteNever felt a WHAM, huh? Maybe you're more of a BA-DOOM kind of person.RemThat's strange. All of the other pictures in this sketchbook have been blacked out with paint...Paulette...I think I'm beginning to understand why she was looking for that treasure.PauletteThere's no doubt that she was here. Now, on to the next location!
