If you have Gathering Life Buddies in your party, press to give them gathering instructions. Don't be shy, they're here to help!

Inflicting a large amount of damage on the last hit to a gathering spot turns it into an Excellent Gathering, which wields even more materials than normal!

Gathering Lives can use Charge Attacks by holding while gathering materials. Dispatch heavy blows to rack up results, but beware it consumes SP!

You learned a new Charge Attack! Hold down while gathering to activate it.

When the Special gauge is full, press + to unleash a powerful Special Skill!

Approach an ore deposit and press to start mining. Press for a regular strike and for a strong strike. Deplete all of its HP to harvest the materials!

While woodcutting, press to display an icon that will help you locate the tree's Sweet Spot!

Press near a fish to ready your rod, and to hook it when the bobber sinks. Don't be snoozin' when the fish bites!

Once the fish bites, press to reel them in normally or for a power reel. Each reeling action consumes SP and depletes the line gauge; if emptied, the line breaks. Reel the fish in with finesse to prevent its escape!

Reel in the line with at the precise moment the bobber sinks to perform a Counter Hook. Use this to damage the fish before they can react!

Use to adjust the rod's angle while reeling. Find the Sweet Spot where the fish is most vulnerable, and reel it in for maximum damage!

Fish get mad if repeatedly pulled at their Sweet Spot. Be careful! Angry fish thrash around, shifting their escape angle—and the Sweet Spot's position too!

While fishing, press to display an icon that will help you locate the fish's Sweet Spot!

The Farmer Life lets you grow your own vegetables and harvest ingredients for cooking! Get your new License at the Guild Office!

Use and to harvest vegetables with your hoe. You can move around the farm with your hoe equipped.

If you find a Boss Veggie in your farm, approach it and press to start harvesting, then or to damage it with your hoe.

Rotate the camera with . Hitting the Dig-Dig Detector indicator with your hoe raises the harvest meter and produces higher-quality veggies. Consecutive hits will trigger combos.

While harvesting, press to bring down your hoe with tremendous force. Hit the Dig-Dig Detector indicator and the harvest meter will jump up!

In order to farm crops at your Base Camp, you'll need to plant seeds. Ask Marco at the Guild Office to sell you some.

To plant the seeds you've acquired, head to a farm and press while standing on it. Make sure to properly water the seeds with once you're done planting them! Rain and watering affect a vegetable's growth differently.

When a sprout appears, water it once more with ! A sprout may wither if not watered soon enough. In case that happens, you can safely remove the withered sprout from your field with .

Once a fixed period passes in real-world time, a seed turns into a sprout and later into a vegetable. Water your crops and wait patiently for them to grow.

After sowing seeds and waiting, there's a chance a big sprout will appear. If cared for, this sprout grows into a tremendous, large-sized Boss Veggie!

Boss Veggies absorb surrounding vegetables, but once harvested, all absorbed veggies are obtained in one go! If you don't want to deal with a Boss Veggie, simply use your hoe to pluck the big sprout before it grows.
