0:00I made an armor set with plus 50 gathering in Fantasy Life I. My record is a smock with plus 30 artistry on that single piece. The theoretical highest is an armor set with a plus 100 to a specific life, but I prefer the general gathering and crafting skills. The brief explanation is this. I beat the Coliseum on the last island to obtain the Forager King and Artisan King sets, which give plus 25 to gathering and crafting respectively. It's a fun quest line with an exciting climax, so check it out if

0:41You forgot to. I found it suspicious how we can't sell the King armor set. We don't get the recipes, but we can also remake any piece of either set. For comparison, you aren't allowed to remake the talisman that Rem gives you, which also has no recipe and can't be sold. That item has a unique skill. I figured I'd roll for SP on my Forager King armor and discovered these sets have a secret. They're guaranteed to roll skills related to gathering or crafting lives respectively. The exception is the Forager King Cape, which seems to just be a cool cape, but then I tried

1:22Remaking it. After all of my efforts, I got magic defense. And then I grinded some swords out and remade it again and got HP. It's definitely a normal cape. I found out the hard way. Don't make that mistake. It took me over half an hour of remaking. I had to sell so many things at the Redux shop. I actually crafted more weapons just like a trade for a few extra stones at the end. I settled for a plus 10 in woodcutting on my gloves cuz I don't think extra farming was that necessary. I never managed to roll a plus 10 general boost on the equipment with plus five to gathering. It seems the skills specific to one life have

2:02Twice the potential cap. Though I did manage to roll plus five gathering on the smock ones, you'll need nearly 1,000 blacksmithing to remake these items. So make some smoothies for an easy 150 crafting boost. There's a hat, gloves, smock, and shoes for both sets. And each piece costs five redux stones to remake. Assuming you get a perfect skill set on the first try every time, cuz 90% of remakers stop before they hit it big, that's still 40 redux stones minimum. This is not a small project, even if you're lucky. It's a legitimate

2:43Milestone in your post-game grind that you should plan to responsibly dedicate resources towards without leaping into this carelessly.
